01. The Challenge

A two-storey home in Brandon where the original builder-grade five-inch gutters had never coped with the volume of water coming off a steep hip roof. Water was overflowing at the corners in every heavy storm and finding its way down the wall into the foundation planting.

The homeowners had already had the fascia repaired twice. The gutters themselves were not really the problem, the sizing was, and no one had told them that.

02. What we did

We fitted seamless six-inch aluminium gutters formed on site, with oversized three-by-four downspouts and additional outlets at both rear corners. Downspouts were extended and tied into buried drains carrying water clear of the foundation.

  • Full moisture survey of the existing deck
  • Phased installation around tenant operations
  • Daily photo log shared with the owner
  • Single project manager, single phone number
  • County inspection booked before tear-off began
03. The Result

The first real downpour after installation was in the middle of a July storm. The system handled it without overflowing anywhere on the house.

The foundation planting has stayed dry through two wet seasons and the fascia repair has held. Total cost was a fraction of what a third round of fascia work plus drainage remediation would have run.
